About This Site

This Site

I needed an excuse to keep doing 4-track recording - well, 24 track recording now.  I couldn't think of a better excuse (other than that time I got my own business just to own the songs).  Anyways, this is one of those "Independent Artist" websites, even though I hate that term ("artist"). And "Indie" for that matter but what can you do?  My shrink said I should explore my creative side.  So, what to expect on this site: Lots of songs (only catch: they're mine), pictures (sometimes of me), and enthralling, news-worthy articles of life in general. And always News And Letters is updated every month - guaranteed. Just use the menus at the top to move around.

The things you can do when you're just a lowly guitar player.

Music

I like making songs.  No one writes a song; Keith Richards said it the best: "songs are given to you".  I like making up the words too.  No deep lyrical content here, so you're in good hands.  You can click here to jump right to the Music section and then use the menus at the top to look around and listen. If you like any, download them - everything's free here. If you really, really like them, then you can head over to The Store for physical CDs or Digital Download.  As I mentioned above, all songs on here were done on my trusty Tascam 424 PortaStudio (except for Hits The Spot and Drives It Home).  You can make fun, quality sounding songs on a 4-track.  Also, I had to play all the parts myself. I'm not complaining - that's the part of the whole process I love best. Well, except playing the guitar parts.

Oh, I guess I should mention that I play with the band The Toastmen (formerly The Powdered Toastmen).  At the time of writing, yes, we're back out there playing - revamped set list and everything (no Top 40 either).  Reason I mention that is I don't want you thinking I just bought a bunch of neat stuff last week and you get to hear me just trying it out or that I just sit around playing with myself all day.

Also, that old saying "it takes most bands 10 years to make their first CD".  Well, I think I got at least 5 CDs worth of material.

Me
(That's Gregg)

I just want to say thanks for stumbling across this site and reading this much of it.  We're already at the bottom of this page.  This is just what happens when somebody perfectly normal gets their own website.

So get used to the white font and black/burgundy gradients, grab a coffee and be prepared to waste your time on this website (I'd start off on News and Letters myself).

Thanks again and enjoy. Gregg
